We are seeking a Substation Physical Design Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. This position will be based in Overland Park (in office).
Responsibilities :
- Develop substation design drawings, including general arrangements, layouts, elevations, conduit plans, lightning protection, ground grid design, and bill of materials (BOM).
- Create control building layouts and equipment designs.
- Prepare bid documents and material specifications.
- Review vendor submittals and provide analysis / feedback.
- Collaborate with other disciplines (structural, civil, survey) to ensure design integration.
- Lead and mentor junior staff.
- Attend client meetings to ensure design alignment with client needs and objectives.
