Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings, including Level II Trauma Centers and Teaching Hospitals. This role requires adaptability and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care while working in diverse environments. You will play a crucial role in supporting patient recovery and ensuring safety during critical care transport.
Duties
- Deliver exceptional patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Provide critical care transport for patients requiring specialized medical attention.
- Operate neonatal ventilators and assist in the care of newborns in need of respiratory support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation of ICD-10 codes for diagnoses and treatments.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patient needs and respond effectively to changes in condition.
Requirements
- Current nursing license valid in the state of practice.
- Experience working in critical care settings, preferably within Level II Trauma Centers or Teaching Hospitals.
- Proficient in medication administration and understanding of pharmacology principles.
- Knowledgeable about standards of care for various patient populations, including senior care.
- Strong communication skills to effectively teach patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
