JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will assist with a variety of manual tasks on construction sites to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of ongoing projects. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of physical duties, supporting skilled trades, and contributing to the overall safety and productivity of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris, removing waste, and organizing materials.
- Carry and move heavy materials such as bricks, concrete, and steel to designated areas.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment under the supervision of experienced workers.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of scaffolding, ladders, and other temporary structures.
- Assist in the pouring and mixing of concrete and other construction materials.
- Load and unload construction materials and tools from trucks and storage areas.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Help other construction workers with specialized tasks as needed.
- Assist in the erection and dismantling of temporary structures such as forms, supports, and scaffolding.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the site supervisor or foreman.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 100 lbs.) and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment is a plus.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working in all weather conditions.
- A valid driver's license is a plus but not required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to carry heavy objects up to 100 lbs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
