Job description
Norbert E. Mitchell Co., Inc. is looking for full time Propane Service Helpers. Candidates must be highly safety conscious, enthusiastic, detail oriented and well organized in order to ensure the highest level of safety and performance, while meeting and exceeding the expectations of our customers.
Job Summary:
The Propane Service Helper will work alongside experienced technicians to gain hands-on training and industry knowledge, performing maintenance, diagnostic testing, installing tanks, and installation and repairs on a variety of propane systems. The Propane Service helper will be enrolled in the G/2 Apprenticeship program with CT DOL.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain outstanding customer service at all times
- Ensure the consistency and quality of each task performed
- Assist technicians with the installation and service of propane tanks and equipment.
- Be responsible for the cleanliness of the area where work is performed
- Clearly communicate details of the service call to each customer
- Neatly and completely fill out service paperwork
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License and be insurable by the Company insurance
- Able to use basic hand tools and power tools
- Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Available to work weekends
