Job Summary
The Hotel Assistant Manager supports the Hotel Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations. This includes front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, guest services, and maintenance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can inspire teams, maintain high standards, and ensure every guest has a memorable stay.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily hotel operations and ensure smooth workflow across all departments.
- Support and supervise front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to reviews, and resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Help train, motivate, and evaluate staff performance.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, inventory, and financial reporting.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding of new team members.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and external contractors when needed.
- Serve as the Manager on Duty when the Hotel Manager is offsite.
Experience
- Proven experience in hotel operations, preferably in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of hospitality software (e.g., PMS systems like Resnexus, Opera, Cloudbeds, etc.).
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred but not required).
