We are looking for a friendly and reliable Part-Time Hotel Front Desk Agent to be the first point of contact for our guests and manage all aspects of their stay. This position requires availability three days a week (Tuesday-Thursday, 3 PM to 11 PM) to handle guest check-ins and check-outs. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a welcoming and memorable experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and with a warm greeting.
- Manage reservations via phone and online platforms.
- Inform guests about payment methods and verify credit card details.
- Register guests, collecting necessary information such as contact information and stay dates.
- Welcome guests and assign rooms according to their preferences.
- Provide information on hotel amenities, available rooms, rates, and services.
- Address guest complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Work closely with housekeeping to ensure rooms are properly prepared and cleaned for guests.
- Confirm group bookings and assist with special requests for VIPs, events, or large parties.
- Promote and upsell additional hotel services and amenities when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of guest bookings and payments.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry duties when necessary.
- Ensure cleanliness in shared areas such as the lobby, kitchen, bathrooms, and hallways.
- Report maintenance issues and handle guest requests promptly.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of guest rooms and sensitive information.
- Stay informed about all hotel services to assist guests with any inquiries.
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with OSHA and hotel standards.
- Assist with laundry during peak periods to ensure a steady supply of linens.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role is preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and booking software.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- At least 1 year of housekeeping or cleaning experience.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
- Ability to multitask effectively and take initiative when needed.
