What We Do :

NORC partners with government, corporate, and nonprofit clients around the world to conduct survey research that informs critical decisions facing society.

• NORC Field Data Collectors, internally known as field interviewers, play a significant role in collecting the data that drives our research.
• The Ideal Candidate for Field Data Collector is available to work a flexible, part-time schedule. Our most successful interviewers typically dedicate 4-6 hours a day to working on their assignments.
• Self-starter who can manage, organize, and commit to their own work schedule.
• Enjoys meeting new people from diverse backgrounds and professions.
• Has field interviewing, sales, hospitality, marketing, financial, real estate, tax preparation, teaching, or customer service experience.
• Requirements For Employment : Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED Preferred.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule of 15 – 25 hours per week.
• Must be comfortable contacting people in person at their homes, often without notice. Flexible availability to work a mix of weekdays, and evenings / weekends often to reach people who are not home during the work week.
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to drive 50 miles or more round trip to complete required task .
• Must reside within 100 miles of the location displayed in this job posting.
• Must be able to use a NORC-provided tablet and applications for tasks such as sending emails and capturing notes about work completed.
• Must attend all virtual and in-person training sessions.
• Have the ability to travel for 3-day in-person training sessions located in Greater Chicago, NYC, or the Los Angeles area.
• All employees hired for this position must present evidence of their identity and authorization to work in the United States.
• Qualified applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. We regret that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

Salary And Benefits :

This position is classified as intermittent. The pay range for this position will be  $19.00 – $28.41  per hour, based on experience and geographic location.
