Janitor - Maintenance

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Daily from 7AM to 11 AM

Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and motivated part-time Maintenance Worker to join our team. This position primarily focuses on janitorial duties and general facility upkeep, with a special emphasis on working around animals. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to maintain cleanliness in areas that may involve animal care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Janitorial Duties:
• Perform regular cleaning and sanitation of indoor and outdoor areas, including hallways, restrooms, offices, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, surfaces, and windows.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch areas, including doorknobs, light switches, and counters.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Dust high and hard to reach areas
• Comfortable with an air compressor
• General Maintenance:
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, checking plumbing, and reporting any major repairs needed.
• Ensure that the facility is well-maintained and free of hazards for both animals and people.
• Paint and touch up areas around the Aquarium

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in janitorial or maintenance work is required.
• Comfortable working around animals, including cleaning and maintaining areas where animals are housed.
• Ability to follow safety protocols when handling cleaning materials
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and move cleaning equipment and supplies as necessary.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend, lift, and move items as required for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work in environments with animals
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Morning shift

Work Location: In person

Salary : $17 - $20
