Job Summary:
The Safety/HR Assistant will support all facets of the Safety Department and assist the HR Department. Provide a safe work environment for all field personnel and meet the requirements of regulatory agencies.

Essential Functions:
· Assist with New and Re-Hire employee registrations.
· Performs a variety of record keeping/filing functions related to: tailgate meetings, operating ranch inspections, sanitation inspection, and vehicle inspections.
· Performs a variety of confidential administrative tasks
· Assist in facilitating effective and timely communication between all levels of field personnel.
· Educates, motivates and trains field personnel in good housekeeping practices and safe work procedures
· Maintain tailgate boxes, posting binders, and first aid kits.
· Perform internal ranch inspections; report and address unsafe findings; and if necessary, escalate and communicate to manager.
· Prepare timely reports on inspections and results.
· Assist with audits for various safety programs.
· Assist with various field investigations. Document and report in a clear and concise manner.
· Assist with transporting employees to the clinic.
· Safe and effective use of sanitation and cleaning chemicals.
· Assist and supports all facets of the Safety and HR departments as they surface.
· Collaborate efficiently with other departments within the company.
· Additional projects and responsibilities to be determined on an as needed basis.

Education and Experience:
· Associates Degree or comparable experience in Safety and/or HR.
· Produce industry experience preferred.
Requirements:
· Fluency in English and Spanish with an ability to speak, read and write in both languages.
- Clean DMV driving history / insurable.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Work weekends as needed.
- Must demonstrate a tactful, mature, and professional demeanor: positive attitude and desire to be a team player
- Proactively communicate tasks and project updates to manager, discreet handling of all business matter (maintain confidentiality at all levels).
Proficiencies:
· Excellent organizational, time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
· Strong communication skills are essential.
· Be flexible and willing to train and be cross-trained in various areas.
· Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
· Ability to communicate verbally and comprehend verbal instructions.
· Positive attitude with willingness to pro-actively solve issues.
· Ability to carry out defined procedures with specific instructions and abilities to learn new duties with minimal repetition.
· Strong interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Must be a self-starter

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
