Job Overview
Support the Pediatric Dentist and team by helping to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the dental office!
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Greet patients and prepare them for dental procedures.
- Take and record patient medical histories
- Comfort patients and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.
Clinical Support:
- Sterilize and disinfect dental equipment and instruments.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and work areas.
- Assist the dentist during exams and procedures by handing instruments, taking x-rays, and managing the suction system.
Administrative Support:
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain appointment calendars.
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain and organize patient records, updating medical history or treatment plans as necessary.
Inventory Management:
- Ensure dental supplies are stocked and organized.
- Order and manage dental office inventory.
Skills and Qualifications:
We hope to hire an applicant with experience in the dental field. However, no experience is necessary!
- Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and instruments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail, especially in maintaining cleanliness and sterilization standards.
- Ability to work well with anxious kids and manage time effectively.

Educational Requirements:
- CPR and first aid certification (we can help you with this).
- On-the-job training or dental assistant programs at accredited institutions.
This role requires a mix of technical, clinical, and administrative skills to ensure dental practices run efficiently and that patients have a positive experience.
Starting Pay: $22-27/hr (this range depends on skill level and prior certifications)
Job Type: Full-time
