NorCal State Builders Inc is a full service General Construction company with our base in Woodland, focusing on jobs in and around Yolo County, Sacramento County & The Bay Area. We mostly work on residential remodeling with projects ranging from high end to rental properties.
We are looking for a skilled laborer who is well rounded in residential construction. You will be working on various residential & some commercial projects and will be performing a variety of tasks. These tasks include the following but are not limited to: loading and unloading materials, setting up temporary and permanent structures, framing, installing drywall, windows, tile, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, concrete work, demolition, painting along with mild HVAC electrical & plumbing work. We are also looking for someone with strong communication skills, the ability to manage a small team and the ability to work directly with a homeowner during a project. We are also open to you bringing on a assistant if they meet the criteria.
Laborer Duties & Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with leader and teammates
- Preparing materials, tools, and equipment at the construction site
- Demolition
- Framing, drywall
- Foundation preparation
- Painting
- Flooring
- Cabinetry
- Mild HVAC, electrical & plumbing work
Requirements and Qualifications
- Reliable Transportation
- Ability to clock in and out on your phone with provided application
- High school degree or equivalent
- 4 years of experience in construction preferred
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
- Excellent communication skills & ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner
