Job Description
Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Norlab Laboratory Technician I position. The Norlab Laboratory Technician I is responsible for completing analysis of product using established methods and utilizing laboratory process instrumentation. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operate and maintain process instrument based auto-sampling and analyzer systems
- Recognize problems with and trouble shoot the above mentioned analysis systems
- Perform scheduled calibration or equipment maintenance
- Prepare Certificate of Analysis and labels as required
- Adhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rules
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1 year of college chemistry and/or previous experience in lab operation is preferred
- Previous knowledge of cylinders and gases
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge of any software
applications necessary to the position - Ability to set up and perform basic algebra
