2nd Shift Machine Operator - Pottstown, PA

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately set up machines and verify equipment is ready to start and complete the production cycle, including temperature settings, machine alignment, etc.
• Ensure HACCP, PPE, GMP’s and specific procedures are being continuously adhered to
• Maintain the facilities, equipment and materials in a neat, clean and organized manner
• Complete housekeeping duties, including the daily cleaning of machines and maintaining an orderly manufacturing area
• Perform quality checks and maintain accurate and timely records to verify products are being manufactured to customer and company standards, and ensure SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and CQS’ (Critical to Quality Specifications) are being followed
• Compound or process ingredients or mix gels according to company-approved formulas
• Consult regularly with the Quality Department and the Leadership team about altering mixing times and quantities of ingredients
• May be required to make basic machine modifications, maintenance/ mechanical adjustments and machine repairs
• Read work orders to determine production specifications or information
• Regulate and shut down equipment during emergency situations, as directed by supervisory personnel
• Accurately stack and stage product and materials according to NCCS standards
• Other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with fill line or packaging equipment preferred
• Ability to read, understand and write in English
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be reliable and punctual
• Maintain good attendance record
• At least two years previous operating machinery and mixing gel and other materials
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to stand, walk, twist, and turn frequently
• Previous machine operating experience in the packaging industry is a plus

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Hours: 3:30pm - 2am (Monday - Thursday)

Rate: $18.00/hr
