Seasonal Garden Center Associate

Job Description:

Are you passionate about plants and the outdoors? Nordic Gardens is seeking friendly, motivated, and reliable individuals to join our team for the spring and summer season. As a Garden Center Associate, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming environment for customers while assisting with sales, plant care, and the upkeep of the of the garden center property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Watering, fertilizing, and pruning plants to promote growth and maintain health.
• Organizing plants in neat rows for display.
• Assisting customers at the register and providing excellent customer service.
• Recommending plants and offering guidance on plant care to customers.
• Unloading trucks of plant material and assisting with inventory.
• Weeding and removing unwanted growth to keep the garden center looking its best.

Qualifications:

• Prior knowledge of plants is preferred but not required; we will teach the right candidate.
• Prior knowledge of POS systems a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Attention to detail and a passion for plant care.
• Ability to lift and move plant material and other supplies.
• A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
