POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Representative – Northern California role is responsible for overseeing all natural channel retailers in the agreed upon territory. Work requires substantial knowledge of all products, respective product categories, industry trends, strong communication and relationship building skills, a passion for education and love of being on the road.

Essential Function Statement(s)
  • Strategic planning, utilization of sales and education tools and account development to grow sales with existing retail customers.
  • Maintain territory routing and minimum number of account visits specific to territory requirements.
  • Support and grow business in existing accounts including but not limited to creating strong sales strategies and education.
  • Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business.
  • Determine customer needs and propose appropriate support and/or support tools.
  • Meet or exceed the sales goals.
  • Responsible for account promotional planning, new and existing item sell in, merchandising enhancements, and other duties as needed and requested.
  • Monitor day-to-day business and metrics including account staffing changes, shelf and product integrity, order frequency, PAR levels and OOS.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive opportunities, product innovations, and other products, prices, and sales, providing feedback to Regional Sales Manager, Director of Sales and corporate headquarters where necessary.
  • Analyze account sales data, market conditions and events, customer issues and competitive intelligence. Utilize data to drive sales planning and forecasting.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, sales meetings and other venues as requested.
  • Offer strategic feedback and support to territory product demonstrators
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow up with key retail decision makers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Must be proficient with MS Office and have advanced Excel skills.

3-5 years outside sales/territory management experience in natural products channel preferred


Pay, Benefits & Perks:

The estimated annual pay for this role is $80,000 to $90,000. This pay is an estimate and the exact compensation may vary depending on an applicant's location, skills, prior experience, professional qualifications, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may also include incentive compensation (i.e. bonus or commission) if applicable.
