Fraud Specialist - Remote

Job Description The Loyalty and Payments Fraud Team helps protect our customers from all aspects of fraudulent activity on their accounts. They do this by leveraging industry standard fraud detection tools, real-time data and, most importantly, well-honed critical thinking skills, excellent “in the moment” decision making ability and exceptional customer service. Our fraud specialists collectively have saved Nordstrom and our customers tens of millions of dollars a year in fraud losses…annually! Nordstrom is able to offer remote employment for this position in: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, North Carolina, Texas, Utah and Washington. Training: Must successfully complete and graduate the training program. Training dates are August 7th -September 29th (Mon-Fri) and 100% attendance required. A day in the life… Handle approximately 50 inbound calls daily from customers regarding potential fraudulent credit card activity Detect fraud and deliver top-notch experience for our customers Advocate for our customers when they experience fraud, provide education and support Strive to stop fraud before it happens You own this if you have… 1 year of fraud, customer service related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience 1 year of call center experience preferred Ability to handle a high volume of calls with detail and accuracy, while delivering excellent customer experience Proven critical thinking skills including ability to identify fraud trends quickly Initiative, ability to act proactively, and employ creativity to find solutions to complex problems Excellent verbal and written communication skills We’ve got you covered… Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits.
