What are the responsibilities and job description for the Math Instructor position at Norfolk County Agricultural High School?
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The instructor hired will plan, teach and evaluate courses in high school level Math that meet the standards of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. The successful candidate will be expected to perform those tasks usually associated with the teaching profession in general; become especially responsive to the needs of the students enrolled in Norfolk County Agricultural High School and make a constructive effort to serve the needs of the Norfolk County Agricultural High School as an organization.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Plan, organize and provide appropriate learning experience within the assigned area of responsibility.
Establish and maintain an instructional atmosphere conducive to learning.
Contribute to the continuous development of curriculum and the improvement of instruction.
Perform all required duties (supervision, attendance taking, student-parent meetings, department/staff meetings, etc.).
Maintain up-to-date and accurate records and reports necessary for the effective management of the school program.
Demonstrate appropriate application of interdisciplinary instruction.
Application of a variety of teaching techniques to the delivery of IEP meetings and adapting instruction.
Participate in the delivery of related student services.
Participate in professional development activities that align with school-wide educational goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.
