Wellbeing Advocate
Job summary: The Wellbeing Advocate will play a critical role in maintaining the productivity and safety of the workplace by providing guidance and support to employees with substance use disorders the DARS (Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Services) program. This position also plays a key role in spreading awareness of the Wellbeing at NS programs and resources to employees.

Wellbeing Advocate
Job summary: The Wellbeing Advocate will play a critical role in maintaining the productivity and safety of the workplace by providing guidance and support to employees with substance use disorders the DARS (Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Services) program. This position also plays a key role in spreading awareness of the Wellbeing at NS programs and resources to employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete substance use disorder assessments (virtual and in-person) for NS employees and qualified dependents with oversight by Asst Manager DARS or Manager Wellbeing
- Conversant with and able to apply DSM-5 criteria and ASAM placement criteria to the standardized substance abuse assessment process
- Facilitates and coordinates individualized aftercare plan and provides follow-up services (virtual and face-to-face) with oversight by Asst Manager DARS or Manager Wellbeing
- Maintain accurate case management records for each client with case appropriate therapy letters, HIPAA documents, Rule G waivers, Public Law Board awards, short-term disability forms, etc.
- Promote Wellbeing at NS program, and present wellbeing program offerings by attending local safety meetings, field events, etc.
- Instruct Basic Adult CPR/AED training classes for field employees
- Minimum Level: 3-5 Years
- Preferred Level: 6-10 years
- Preferred level: Bachelor’s Degree
- Preferred Majors: Medical/Health related
- Required: Incumbent is expected to obtain CEAP (Certified Employee Assistance Professional) and Q-SAP (Qualified Substance Abuse Professional) certifications within 2 years following placement
