Job Duties
matters, and works collaboratively with the directors, faculty, staff, and administration, to
further the University’s mission and vision. The AVP is instrumental in reviewing,
updating, and implementing the strategic enrollment management plan, and is
responsible for the following:
- Provide leadership and direct supervision of the following departments/areas:
- Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, Transfer Admissions, Financial Aid, and The Registrar’s Office.
- Conceptualize and articulate enrollment management organizational goals that reflect The University’s plan of being a student-centered campus; focus on being student centered with excellent customer service, transparent operations, and measurable positive outcomes.
- Direct and manage the budgets and resources of all operational areas reporting to the position, to ensure the effective and efficient utilization of resources.
- Amplify the University’s strategic student-centered objective with excellent customer service, transparent operations, and measurable positive outcomes.
- ls guided by a strong student-centered philosophy and remains consistently adapting high-tech and interpersonal environments; the position demands both inspirational leadership and maintains a thorough understanding of best practices in enrollment management.
- Work collegially with students, faculty, and staff, fellow administrators, and members of the University community. The ideal candidate is expected to have a record of collaborative decision-making, a high standard of professional integrity, a strong sense of professional ethics, and a creative and analytical approach in formulating and achieving strategic enrollment goals and plans of the University.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Must possess a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
2. Considerable administrative experience, generally equivalent to a minimum of 8 years, in higher education enrollment management, with a minimum of five years in a supervisory capacity at the director level or higher.
3. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a diverse staff in an environment that values teamwork and professional development.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in admission, and other components of Enrollment Management.
5. Considerable experience collaborating successfully with all levels, including experience in developing joint student affairs and academic affairs programs and initiatives, to advance a culture of student-centered service.
6. Demonstrated ability to effectively address the needs of and communicate with diverse student populations, such as low-income, first generation, ethnic minority, international and/or non-traditional students.
7. Advanced skill in the practical application of software packages and other technologies used to effectively and efficiently deliver to manage student enrollment.
Additional Considerations
1. Doctorate in higher education leadership, student affairs, enrollment management or similar discipline.
2. Previous experience with strategic planning, including development and implementation.
3. Considerable knowledge of statistical and predictive analysis.
4. Demonstrated track record and commitment building and maintaining relationships with community colleges.
