NSU’s Center for Materials Research invites applicants for a grant-funded Postdoc / Lab Manager position.
The responsibilities combine those of a Postdoc and Lab Manager:
- Scientific research in the areas of (nano)photonics and (nano)photonics
materials.
- Training students to conduct research and assisting them with their research
projects.
- Equipment and lab maintenance, small-scale equipment repair, software
installation, and communication with service engineers.
- Purchase of equipment and supplies and communicating with vendors.
- Writing technical reports and peer reviewed publications.
- Overseeing the lab safety.

Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Optical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Candidate should have knowledge and experience in research areas of
(nano)photonics and (nano)photonic materials.
- The applicant’s competency in research should be evidenced by peer-reviewed
scientific publications and conference presentations.
Additional Considerations
- The applicant should have knowledge in computers, have hands-on technical
experience, and equipment maintenance skills.
- The applicant should have good communication skills and be able to
constructively communicate with students, colleagues and third parties.
