What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Bartender position at Norfolk Yacht and Country Club?
Norfolk Yacht & Country Club is accepting applications for part time and experienced bartenders. Prior experience preferred. Qualified candidates will have a great attitude, be a team player and be very customer service and hospitality oriented. Applicants should have flexible availability (willing to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays), have attention to detail and the ability to work fast-paced environment. The major responsibilities of this position are:
- Knowledge of wine and drink menu and pairings
- Constructs each drink with timing and precision
- Keeps Bar platinum clean.
- Bar performs assigned side work.
- Provides exceptional food and beverage service to club members and guests in a timely manner.
- Answers questions and suggests menu items; is descriptive with menu items and how they are prepared
- Develops excellent knowledge of menu, wine list and drink specials
- Works as a team with others; help with guests and side work
- Suggests and serves dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks
- Presents the bill in a timely manner
- Handles all member charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures
- Keeps bar, dining room and bus station areas clean
- Performs clean-up, closing duties, and room resets as assigned by manager
- Attends pre-service meetings (Line up)
- Reports to work in proper uniform
