What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server position at Norfolk Yacht and Country Club?
Norfolk Yacht & Country Club is accepting applications part time banquet servers and bartenders for full service, a la carte dining, and banquet. Prior experience preferred. Qualified candidates will have a great attitude, be a team player and be very customer service and hospitality oriented.
The major responsibilities of this position are:
- Set up sections and performs assigned side work
- Provides exceptional food and beverage service to club members and guests in a timely manner.
- Answers questions and suggests menu items; is descriptive with menu items and how they are prepared
- Develops excellent knowledge of menu, wine list and drink specials
- Works as a team with others; help with guests and side work
- Keeps tables, dining room and bus station areas clean
- Performs clean-up, closing duties, and room resets as assigned by manager
- Attends pre-service meetings (Line up)
- Reports to work in proper uniform
