Custodial/Maintenance Technician
We are looking for a reliable, skilled custodial/maintenance crew member to perform essential upkeep tasks throughout our facility. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as basic repairs and cleaning to ensure that our facilities are both tidy and functional. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job. Prefer the ideal candidate have some work experience but not a must, prompt and reliable is a must.
Job Summary:
The Custodial/Maintenance Technician will perform general cleaning and general maintenance. The hybrid position will involve repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including basic plumbing, basic electrical, basic carpentry, basic heating and cooling and other building systems.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair
· Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs
· Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed
· Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures
· Performs routine maintenance on building systems
· Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities
· Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
· Knowledge of general carpentry and repair a plus
· Ability to use hand tools and power tools
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
Education and Experience:
· Related experience preferred
· On-the-job training offered
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and walking
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
This is a full time/40 hours per week position.
