Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking an outstanding individual to join our Healthcare efforts in North America. The role encompasses management of a healthcare focussed long-only equity portfolio specialising in Healthcare and its application across healthcare services, medical technology and biotechnology. Our Portfolio Managers run delegated investment mandates with a large degree of autonomy. Investment decision processes are based on fundamental company and industry research. Processes capitalize on our unique characteristics such as world class corporate access and a long-term time horizon. This provides a strong basis for investment outperformance.
The position reports to the Head of Healthcare, is based in New York and travel will be required. You will be joining the 4 investment professionals on the Healthcare Team based in London and Oslo.

Compensation - Expected Base Salary rates for the role will be between $290,000 and $330,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Base Salary, if hired, will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include performance pay.

What you will do
- Manage a Healthcare portfolio, based on processes that ensure consistent delivery of superior long-term investment returns.
- Combine differentiated company analysis with equity market insights and portfolio construction considerations to inform investment decisions.
- Act as a strong ambassador for the fund and represent its interests and values externally.
- Build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, particularly the portfolio companies within Healthcare Technology.
- Contribute to the fund’s ownership activities by assessing and engaging on relevant company and sector issues.
- Actively participate in the team by sharing investment insights and contributing to relevant investment discussions internally.
What You Need
- Advanced degree with exceptional academic credentials
- 8-10 years professional experience in equity portfolio management, with specific expertise in healthcare sector investments
- Demonstrated track record of delivering strong investment returns through fundamental research and portfolio construction
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with healthcare industry technology trends and advancements
- Excellent communication skills enabling high-quality interaction with healthcare companies at senior executive management level
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy and make disciplined investment decisions
