GENERAL POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Publishing Coordinator will manage content solicitation, scheduling, and deployment for Noria's two popular media brands, Machinery Lubrication and Reliable Plant; primarily websites and e-newsletters. This role will also assist with content creation, focusing on content refinement and collaboration with internal and external contributors to ensure quality, consistency and accuracy, and audience engagement.
Position Responsibilities
Content Solicitation
- Proactively solicit editorial contributions from internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Build and maintain relationships with contributors to foster a steady pipeline of high-quality content.
Content Scheduling and Publishing
- Plan and schedule content for distribution.
- Maintain and optimize production calendars to ensure timely and relevant content delivery.
Newsletter Coordination
- Collaborate with coworkers to help design and distribute weekly e-newsletters.
Audience Engagement
- Analyze website and e-newsletter performance metrics to identify popular topics and improve content strategies.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Aid in the development and refinement of written content to meet organizational standards.
- Editing and proofreading checks to ensure clarity, coherence, and alignment with style guides.
- Convey constructive feedback to external contributors.
- Coordinate with graphic designers to create appropriate visuals for written content
- Help ensure all published materials adhere to legal, ethical, and copyright standards.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, AND EQUIPMENT USED
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and SEO best practices; experience with HubSpot CRM is a plus.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to build relationships with contributors and team members.
- Analytical skills to interpret engagement metrics and optimize content strategies.
- Knowledge of the industrial/maintenance industry is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of AP Style or other style guides is a plus.
- Physical requirements of this position can include but are not limited to: the ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance, moving objects in a general office setting, standing, climbing, bending, and other repetitive motions.
- Required use of office equipment can include but is not limited to: copier, shredder, scanner, phone, mouse, keyboard, computer, and multi-function printers.
- Maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with a range of people at all levels within the organization and contribute as a writer and editor to the overall objectives of the company.
- Ability to work in a mixed Mac/PC environment.
Minimum EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & LICENSURE Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in publishing, editing, or related roles
