Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Waukesha, WI
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Part I – Position Purpose
Position includes mechanical & hydraulic repair and troubleshooting, welding, installation/relocation/modification, and/or repair of manufacturing machinery and equipment. Execution of preventative maintenance program. Work safely and maintain a safe overall shop working environment. Work with outside contractors as directed and be able to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders. Must be able to work in a team setting and also with minimal supervision. Perform repairs to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment running.

Part II – Job Functions
- Keep the machines and mechanical equipment running during production.
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and hydraulic, electrical.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
- Fabrication skills, mechanical, welding and general Millwright skills.
- Inspect gages, valves, pressure regulators, drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions.
- Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery and remove any scrap material.
- Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
- Implementing improvements and participating in safety/OSHA training.
- Minimum High School Diploma required. Technical training or certificate course in Maintenance Field or equivalent is a plus; associate degree in related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical. Experience in a foundry setting or related is a plus.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to operate various tools and equipment to include but not limited to various hand and power tools, various machine tools, welding torches, and various test equipment.
- Prior experience working with automation equipment and PLC experience desired
