We're looking for one experienced, organized and systems-driven individual to join our Management Team!
Norlite is seeking a Clinical Care Manager / RN Supervisor. The RN Supervisor is responsible for the direction and supervision of total resident care, ensuring that each resident receives treatments, medications, and diet as prescribed, and is kept comfortable, clean, well-groomed, and protected from accident, injury and infection. The position is four ten-hour shifts each week, days to be determined upon hire and discussed during the interview.
The RN Supervisor supervises the RN and LPN Charge Nurses on duty and handles most of the communication with physicians and other medical institutions.
Wage is negotiable and is based on experience; the range includes 'hero pay' and is expected between $33 and $35/hr.

Essential Functions of the position include:
1. Orients, instructs, evaluates, supervises, and disciplines personnel.
2. Complies with established policies and procedures.
3. Assigns duties to staff nurses and CNA’s.
4. Performs resident admission and discharge assessments.
5. Provides consultation for staff nurses and CNA’s.
6. Assists in orientation of new staff members.
7. Analyzes and evaluates nursing service needs and determines staffing requirements. Reviews and interprets work performance against accepted standards, assisting in on-going written evaluations of all shift personnel.
8. Visits Residents to ensure satisfaction and quality of care
9. Assesses medical, social, psychological and spiritual needs of individual residents and assists in development of care plans for individual residents (hospice, community mental health, etc.)
10. Consults with residents’ physicians in assessment and planning of care.
11. Facilitates open communication with residents’ family/friends.
12. Arranges for transfer of residents to other facilities and completes required forms.
13. Notifies physician, family or relatives when resident become critically ill or in case of death, and notifies funeral home.
14. Makes independent decisions regarding nursing care.
15. Evaluates, examines, and treats emergencies, determining emergency measures to be used.
16. Notifies resident families and physician in the event of resident injury or change of condition.
17. Handles resident or personnel grievances or refers them to the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
18. Assists in establishing good public relations.
19. Participates in QAPI Meetings
20. Investigates Resident Events, such as Falls, Bruises or Skin Tears to identify a root cause and initiates an intervention to prevent reocurrence.
21. Maintains staffing ratios at proper levels.
22. Reviews resident lab work and communicates results, when required, with physicians and staff nurses.
23. Communicates with pharmacy to ensure consistent and safe delivery of medications.
24. Reviews and follows-up on care conference recommendations.
25. Administers CPR/Heimlich as needed.
26. Performs blood draws as needed.
28. Perform IV insertions, mix IV medications, and pronounce death.
29. Attends daily staffing meetings.
30. Communicates, liaisons, and is involved with residents, department supervisors and staff, visitors, and medical staff.
31. Any other duties as assigned

Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour
