Summary
As a key member of the digital sales team, the Ecommerce Manager is responsible for optimizing NDS's presence and performance across all e-commerce channels, including marketplaces, dealer websites, and other online platforms. The Ecommerce Manager will work closely with product management, marketing, sales, and other cross-functional teams to develop and execute e-commerce strategies that align with overall business goals. This role requires a data-driven approach to analyzing sales performance, identifying growth opportunities, and implementing initiatives to improve customer experience and drive revenue growth across all e-commerce channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize product listings and content across all e-commerce channels to improve discoverability, conversion rates, and sales, utilizing data-driven decision making, A/B testing, and customer data to personalize marketing efforts.
- Manage promotions, pricing, and sales initiatives across e-commerce channels in collaboration with marketing, product, and sales teams.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance across e-commerce channels using metrics like revenue, margin, conversion rate, and return rate. Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership.
- Identify opportunities to expand NDS's presence to new e-commerce channels and product categories. Develop business cases and go-to-market plans.
- Serve as a key point of contact for dealers and partners selling NDS products online. Provide training, support, and resources to help them optimize their e-commerce efforts.
- Work with customer service to monitor and resolve customer issues related to online sales in a timely manner. Implement process improvements as needed.
- Execute brand advocacy initiatives across e-commerce channels to improve NDS's brand presence and reputation.
- Stay up-to-date on e-commerce trends, competitor activity, and emerging online sales and marketing strategies. Proactively share insights and recommendations with internal teams.
- Collaborate with product development teams to ensure NDS's products are well-suited for e-commerce and optimized for online channels.
- Ensure compliance with each e-commerce channel's policies, terms of service, and requirements for sellers.
- Continuously monitor and optimize e-commerce performance, running experiments to test new strategies, product bundles, pricing, and promotions.
- Manage budget for e-commerce initiatives, including advertising spend, promotional discounts, and any co-op or market development funds.
- Monitor competitor activity across e-commerce channels, including pricing, promotions, and product assortment, and factor this into NDS's online sales strategy.
- If applicable, manage cross-border e-commerce considerations, such as international shipping, taxes and duties, and localization of product listings.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce, online sales, or digital marketing roles.
- Deep knowledge of e-commerce best practices across various online channels, including marketplaces, dealer websites, and social commerce.
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and experience with BI tools like Tableau or PowerBI. Ability to analyze large datasets and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build consensus and influence without authority.
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-centric mindset, with a track record of implementing improvements to customer experience.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tactics like SEO, PPC, and email marketing is a plus.
