What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer, Growth position at Normal Computing?
Your Role in Our Mission :
At Normal, you will be responsible for operating like a CTO on our team of Software Engineers in the fast-paced acceleration of our first commercial product, Adam. Normal is a spinoff out of Google X, backed by Eric Schmidt, building AI to design drastically better chips.
A semiconductor background is not required. Successful candidates have a strong entrepreneurial instinctand capacity for driving mission-critical impact on demanding timelines, through full cycle engineering.
Among other things, the role will involve :
- Lead projects from concept to production deployment ranging across product, libraries and systems, and full-stack AI infrastructure
- Interfacing directly with Fortune 500 customers and users across the semiconductor industry, and industrials more broadly
- Spearhead 0-1 projects from feature prototyping to deployment, advancing state-of-the-art auto-formalizing AI systems for complex design and simulation problems in hardware engineering
- Drive alongside world-class software engineers (frontend, backend, and infrastructure) from Google Brain, Meta, Amazon AGI, and other top-tier AI groups and enterprise startups
- Help strengthen comprehensive engineering roadmaps that align with company goals and product strategy
- Drive cross-functional tooling and infrastructure initiatives to improve model training, experimentation, and enterprise product deployment infrastructure
- Nurture a metrics and measurement-led culture designing and challenging benchmarks to continually measure quality and robustness of solutions
- Travel to conferences and summits and participate in thought leadership and advocacy of Normal primarily between AI and semiconductor communities
- Go the extra mile to assure success for our partners and your team
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Design Automation, and distributed software infrastructure
