Property Inspector - Prior experience not required - Vehicle Provided

Norman Housing Authority (NHA) seeks an energetic, reliable, prompt, and driven person to conduct property inspections. (Basically insuring the rental property is safe, decent, and sanitary.) Past inspection experience is not required. Past residential construction experience is helpful.

Inspector will drive an NHA vehicle to locations. All locations are within the Norman City limits.

Work hours are 8-5:30 Monday-Thursday and 8-noon on Fridays.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Scheduling, conducting inspections, notifications of fail items, determining rent reasonable, data entry, other duties as assigned. 20% of time is spent in the office completing paperwork.

Qualifications/Requirements

No past criminal activity.

Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and a minimum of a high school diploma.

Possess customer service-oriented attitude.

Possess well-developed decision-making skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Using tact, discretion, initiative, and outstanding independent judgment within established guidelines.

Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision after training.

Field duties include exposure to hot and cold weather, fleas and other insects, frequent walking, standing, kneeling, lifting, climbing stairs, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting and driving.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
