Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist Role
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System plays a critical role in patient care within the cardiovascular program. This position requires certification as a Radiologic Technologist or RCIS, with advanced life support training, and is responsible for patient assessment, equipment preparation, maintaining sterile environments, and educating new staff while collaborating closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Advanced Life Support Certification within 6 months of hire
