Critical Role in Cardiovascular Care
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a pivotal part in the cardiovascular care continuum, utilizing their expertise to prepare equipment and ensure patient safety during procedures.
This position involves maintaining a sterile environment, training new staff, and stock management. The successful candidate will have completed an accredited Radiologic or Cardiovascular Program and possess relevant certifications.

We have an innovative cardiovascular program and are looking for a caring knowledgeable Registered Technologist to expand our program. Our state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower features three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms.
We work with a team of nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists. Our cardiology department has received several prestigious awards, including the American College of Cardiology Chest Pain Center with PCI and Resuscitation Accreditation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care according to established protocols.
- Maintains a sterile environment throughout the procedure, adhering to strict standards.
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, facilitating smooth orientation and onboarding.
- Utilizes downtime efficiently by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks.
- Fosters strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to deliver exceptional patient care.
Qualifications and Requirements
Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within six months. Achieve all competencies listed in department policy within six months.
Education and Certification
Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology, eligible and/or current RCIS.
Licensure and Certifications
American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Registered and/or RCIS. Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required prior to providing patient care.
