We have an innovative cardiovascular program, and we are seeking caring and knowledgeable Registered Technologists to expand our cardiovascular services.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of equipment before and during procedures.
- Identification and assessment of patient condition, preparation, positioning, and provision of patient care.
- Maintenance of a sterile environment.
- Professional Practice.
- Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
- Use of downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintenance of strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months. Complete all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months.
Education:
Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS.
Experience:
Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration/Etc.
American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Registered and/or RCIS. Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for the duration of employment. ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through the duration of employment.
