Responsibilities
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a vital role in preparing equipment, providing patient care during cardiovascular procedures, and maintaining a sterile environment. Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing equipment before and during procedures
* Identifying and assessing patient condition, preparing, positioning, and providing patient care
* Establishing and maintaining a sterile environment
* Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff
* Using downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager or manager
Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
* Completion of a 24-month formal Radiologic Technology program or military program with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification
* Previous Procedural Area experience preferred
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care, with ongoing maintenance through re-training for duration of employment
* ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment
