This position involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure a sterile environment and optimal patient outcomes during cardiovascular procedures. You will also serve as a preceptor for new staff and participate in maintaining high professional standards in the cardiac program.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition. Prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Professional Practice:
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Requirements
- Completion of 24 month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS.
- Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Registered and/or RCIS. Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred.
- BLS training required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current BLS required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment. ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.
