Job Summary
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a crucial role in providing excellent patient care during cardiovascular procedures. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment while collaborating with a team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists.
Qualifications and Education
To be successful in this role, candidates must have a completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS. Previous procedural area experience is preferred. Candidates must also possess relevant certifications and commit to ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include preparing equipment before and during procedures, identifying and assessing patient condition, establishing and maintaining a sterile environment, serving as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participating in the orientation of new staff. Candidates must also use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
