Job Summary
- Prepare and maintain equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
- Provide patient care in a sterile environment, working alongside a team of cardiologists.
- Assess and prepare patients for procedures, ensuring high standards of professional practice.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and maintains equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, preparing and positioning them for procedures.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment, adhering to industry standards.
- Provides patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as needed.
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
Qualifications
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility.
- Previous procedural area experience preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
