Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist plays a critical role in the preparation and execution of cardiovascular procedures. This position requires establishing a sterile environment, providing patient care, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Assess patient condition and provide appropriate care.
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and professional development.
- Utilize downtime effectively by restocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks.
Requirements:
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, with eligibility or current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Technologist in Imaging or Interventional Radiography.
- Previous experience in a procedural area is preferred.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS), with ACLS training achieved within six months of hire.
