Expert Cardiovascular Technologist Required
Norman Regional Health System is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Imaging Technologist to join our team. This role involves preparing and operating equipment during cardiovascular procedures while ensuring patient care and a sterile environment.
About the Position:
- Collaborate with cardiologists and electrophysiologists to deliver high-quality patient care
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, contributing to their professional growth and development
- Maintain a sterile environment, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures, ensuring optimal functionality
- Assess patient condition, providing tailored care and support
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment, upholding rigorous standards
- Participate in the orientation of new staff, fostering a culture of excellence
- Utilize downtime effectively, engaging in tasks such as stocking rooms and checking equipment
Qualifications:
Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous procedural area experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) training within 6 months of hire
- Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT)
- Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS)
