As a key member of our cardiovascular program, the Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a vital role in ensuring the success of procedures and providing exceptional patient care. This position involves assessing patient conditions, supporting new staff and students through orientation, and maintaining a high level of professional practice.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of equipment before and during procedures is crucial to ensure seamless operations.
- Accurate identification and assessment of patient condition are essential in providing effective patient care.
- Maintenance of a sterile environment is critical in preventing infections and ensuring patient safety.
- Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students is an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and expertise.
- Utilizing downtime effectively by completing tasks such as stocking rooms and checking equipment enhances overall efficiency.
- Fostering strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership is vital in delivering exceptional patient care.
Requirements:
- Completion of Cath Lab RT Orientation within six months is mandatory.
- Acquisition of all competencies listed in department policy within six months is necessary.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required prior to providing patient care.
- Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification is highly desirable.
Educational Background:
- A graduate degree from an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program is required.
Experience:
- Previous procedural area experience is preferred.
Compensation Package:
- The compensation package includes a competitive hourly rate ranging from $27.84 to $45.46 based on previous work experience.
