What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiovascular Imaging Technologist position at Norman Regional Health System?
The Cath Lab Cardiology Specialist will be responsible for preparing and operating equipment during cardiovascular procedures, maintaining patient care and sterile environments. This role supports a team of cardiologists and electrophysiologists, serving as a preceptor for new staff while ensuring compliance with safety and procedural standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepares equipment before and during procedures
• Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care
• Establishes and maintains a sterile environment
• Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participates in the orientation of new staff
• Uses downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager

Requirements
• Completion of 24-month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS
• Previous Procedural Area experience preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment
