The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist plays a critical role in the cardiovascular program at Norman Regional Health System, providing exceptional patient care and support in cardiovascular procedures. This position requires preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining sterile environments. The ideal candidate will have registration as a Radiographer or RCIS certification and complete specific training and competencies within the first six months of employment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care
- Maintains a sterile environment
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participates in the orientation of new staff
- Utilizes downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager
Requirements:
A graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program with one year of experience working in a Cath Lab is preferred. Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certifications must be achieved within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
