Our collaborative team works closely with nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to deliver exceptional patient care.
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist - RCIS plays a pivotal role in facilitating cardiovascular procedures by preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and providing expert care. This position involves maintaining a sterile environment and supporting new hires through comprehensive preceptorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and configure equipment before and during procedures to ensure seamless execution.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, prepare patients for procedures, and provide exceptional care throughout the process.
- Maintain a sterile environment, adhering to strict protocols to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, contributing to the orientation and training of new staff members.
- Utilize downtime effectively by restocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
- Foster strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to optimize patient care outcomes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A registered certification in Radiologic Technology is mandatory.
- Eligibility or current registration for RCIS is essential.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program is required.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab setting is highly desirable.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS is necessary.
- BLS certification is a must-have.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire is also required.
