Norman Regional Health System has emerged as a leader in healthcare excellence, nestled at the southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area.
We have an innovative cardiovascular program and are seeking experienced Cardiovascular Technologists to expand our team. Our state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower features three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms.
Responsibilities of the Cardiovascular Technologist
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, preparing, positioning, and providing patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation.
- Utilize downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
- Foster strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within six months.
- Complete all competencies listed in department policy within six months.
Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab is preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists - ARRT or Registered as a Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced Life Support certification within six months of hire.
Compensation and Benefits
- $27.84-$45.46 per hour based on previous work experience.
