About the Role
This position involves preparing and operating equipment, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring a sterile environment during cardiac procedures. The successful candidate will also be responsible for training new staff and maintaining collaborative relationships with cardiologists to enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and operation of equipment before and during procedures.
- Identification and assessment of patient condition.
- Maintenance of a sterile environment.
Professional Practice
- Serves as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students.
- Participates in the orientation of new staff.
- Utilizes downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
Compensation and Benefits
- $27.84-$45.46 per hour based on previous work experience.
