Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist Role

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain equipment for procedures, identifying any necessary adjustments or replacements.
• Assess patient conditions, providing personalized care and positioning as needed.
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff members, providing expert guidance and support.
• Utilize downtime efficiently by completing tasks such as stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated responsibilities.

Qualifications and Training

• Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within six months.
• Accomplish all required competencies outlined in departmental policy within six months.

Education and Certification

Graduation from a 24-month formal program or military equivalent in Radiologic Technology, with eligibility or current certification as RCIS through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
