Job Description:
The Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a crucial role in the innovative cardiovascular program, preparing equipment, maintaining sterile environments, and collaborating with a team of cardiovascular specialists. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be certified as a Radiologic Technologist and hold qualifications in cardiovascular technology, along with relevant patient care certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
- Serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, and participate in the orientation of new staff.
- Use downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
