We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rad Tech to join our Cath Lab team. As a Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist, you will play a vital role in preparing and assisting in cardiovascular procedures while ensuring optimal patient care in a sterile environment.
About the Role
- Prepare equipment before and during procedures.
- Identify and assess patient condition, prepare, position, and provide patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training.
- Utilize downtime efficiently by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
- Maintain strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate exceptional patient care.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A completed 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology.
- Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training prior to providing patient care, with current BLS required to be maintained throughout employment.
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) training achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
