The Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) specialist plays a critical role in preparing and operating equipment during cardiovascular procedures while ensuring patient care and a sterile environment. This position requires training in Radiologic Technology and certification in cardiovascular specialties.

Job Description
The Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) specialist plays a critical role in preparing and operating equipment during cardiovascular procedures while ensuring patient care and a sterile environment. This position requires training in Radiologic Technology and certification in cardiovascular specialties.
Responsibilities
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition. Prepares, positions and provides patient care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participates in the orientation of new staff.
- Uses downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab preferred.
- Registered as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist - ARRT or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International – RCIS.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Advanced Life Support Certification within 6 months of hire.
Salary : $28 - $45
