As a key member of the Norman Regional Health System team, the Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care within our innovative cardiovascular program. Collaborating closely with cardiologists and other team members, this position requires a high level of professionalism, ensuring excellent patient outcomes while participating in the training of new hires and radiology students.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain equipment before and during procedures.
- Assess and identify patient conditions, providing optimal patient care.
- Establish and maintain a sterile environment to ensure safe procedures.
- Collaborate as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, facilitating their onboarding process.
- Utilize downtime effectively by completing tasks such as stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated responsibilities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS registration.
- Previous Procedural Area experience is preferred.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS) certification is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is mandatory prior to providing patient care, with ongoing maintenance throughout employment.
- ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained during employment.
